Not many sales in Malibu during 2008. But here are a couple,

Larger House, Extra half bath, almost identical size lot, Nextdoor neighbors, Sold 1 month later for $118,000 less. Zillow estimate for these houses were almost 4,000K in late 06´.

According to the SF Chronicle, Olivia Newton-John just (in Jan. 2009) sold her Malibu house. It was on the market for about a year. She had been asking $11.5 million but apparently it went for $10 million or so. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/01/25/REUK15BS4B.DTL
